Come participate in our first time class series - Crafting the Sacred.
These classes begin in person (online classes being formed). In person classes will have light morning snacks, coffee, tea and water. All supplies included for each class. Fees vary for each craft. We do offer a discount to sign up for the full 4 weeks. We do ask that all participants wear masks when we are inside together. Ms. Debbie who leads the classes also works with children who are young and unvaccinated.
September 4th - Vision Boards - Vision boards are essentially a physical manifestation of who you are and what you envision for yourself. Vision boarding involves collecting images or objects that expresses your hopes and dreams and arranging them on a board for a tangible and aesthetically pleasing reminder of where you're heading. Hang these up in a special area in your home!
September 11th - Medicine Bags – The medicine bag (or sometimes called bundle) is a Native American pouch that holds sacred objects that carry good energy (medicine) you wish to have in life. The class will be working with remnants of deer hide to sew and create their special bags. You are encouraged to bring small objects special to place inside the medicine bag. There will also be certain items available to add such as healing stones, medicine stones, herbs, feathers, etc. You are welcome to make the bag for someone else who may need some healing in their lives. We will be adding a final saging ceremony at the closing of this craft.
We skip Sept 17th weekend as we are in a craft fair.
September 25th - Mandala Art - A mandala, Sanskrit for circle, is a geometric configuration of symbols. A mandala generally represents the spiritual journey, starting from outside to the inner core, through layers. We will have templates available and techniques as well for those who wish to do freehand.
